One of my all time favorite books (still!) has been made into a movie.....not only are the illustrations amazing ( though Sendak was quoted as saying that the wild things were modeled after his, at times,overbearing relatives when they would come over to visit!),the costumes for the Wild Things in the film blew my mind! Making costumes is how I used to earn my keep, so its a bit hard to impress me...but they were amazing. I was taken away....I have my thoughts about what I think this story is a metaphor for, but I would love to hear yours, (if you are a fan). Let the wild rumpus begin!where the wild things are.....
