Fleur de Lis necklace
Fleur de Lis necklace
Most commonly known as the armorial emblem of the French monarchy, the fleur de lis has, like many symbols, acquired multiple meanings through the ages.
French for “lily flower” many interpret it to, in truth, be a stylized version of an iris.
Recently, I have admired other artists who use the symbol to represent the ‘warrior spirit’ in us all. Upon researching the semantics of this emblem, I found that it is also often used as a compass rose, to mark the way north…
I am rather enamored of this description, as it reminds me of the expression to “find and follow your own north star”… the path of your own unique strengths, individuality, and spirit….when you bring you embody your highest purpose in this life, then you will most definitely contribute your greatest karmic good to everything and everyone you touch…
